It’s a tale as old as time, swindler’s greed.

If you can pay their price, they’ve got just what you need.

With a smile, they promised to take away your pain.

They got Blood on their hands, can’t wash out that stain.

They never saw the wrong, it’s basic economics.

These people got their start selling snake oils and tonics.

Long since mastered the art of pushing lethal narcotics.

After all, what’s the harm with trying to turn a profit?

Pushed a pill, a promise to cure the ails of their clients.

All it did was shift the problem from pain to reliance.

The Victims of these physicians,

Just Slaves to their prescriptions.

If you’re looking for relief, it’s found at your local pharmacy.

The doctors gave up their oaths, still doing no harm I see.

What’s the big deal, it’s just supplying a demand.

Nevermind who dies, it’s not a Lemonade stand.

Gotta learn the hard way, all the Tricks of the trade.

Don’t like it? Kid, that’s just how the game is meant to be played

See, Peddling poison turns a pretty profit.

It’s a special recipe, No, you’ll never get off it

The fault’s at the feet of Pharma,

See, you could say it’s Karma.

Made more than a dime, dealing death to their clients,

Business model’s dependent on their unwilling reliance.

There’s good money in causing Sickness,

It’s nothing personal, just business.

Is it the cause? The symptom?

Or something wrong with the system?

Ever since the 80’s, just upping dosage.

The war on drugs, a lethal misdiagnosis.
